This model is perfect for a middle large roastery. The Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster has a production capacity from 500 gr. up to 15 kg. As with all the Giesen Coffee Roasters, it is possible to roast and cool at the same time increasing the total production capacity. Because of these features the coffee roaster enables you to roast nearly 60 kg. per hour, which is an entire coffee bag.

Choosing the Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster
Depending on the type of your business, the Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster could be the perfect roaster to start with. We have also had many customers in the past who started out with the Giesen W6A Coffee Roaster and then switched to the W15A as business developed. The great advantage of this switch is the fact that all installation is the same. You can use the same chimney, gas and electric installations as with the W6A and more than double the production capacity. The benefit of the Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster is – besides the production increase – that the Roast Profile System is prepared for. This is a software preinstalled at a dedicated external laptop that enables you to record a roast and replay proven roast recipes at any time.
The advantage of a double walled roasting drum
The first part of the drum and the front plate of the Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster are made of cast iron. The drum itself is double-walled with cast iron on the first part of the drum and the rest is steel on the inside. The cast-iron create a very good structure for the whole drum. This combines the attribute of cast iron of retaining and distributing the heat evenly with the capacity of steel that enable you to make rapid changes in the roast profile temperature during the roasting process.
Controlling the Coffee Roaster
The Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster can be controlled in two different ways. The standard way to control the roaster is manually via the control panel. It is also possible to control and set up the machine semi automatically via the Roast Profile System, which is an (optional) software system installed on an external laptop or touch screen. With this system it is possible to record and replay a roast with the related settings, enabling you to maintain the same quality levels for multiple batches.
Cleaning and maintenance
It is very important that a coffee roaster operates and functions well, as your whole production capacity depends on it. To be able to rely on the proper functioning, the Giesen W15A Coffee Roaster needs cleaning. When the coffee roaster is cleaned well and often, you can be certain of the correct functioning of the machine. This is why we made it extremely easy for all our Coffee Roasters. There are drawers and doors that facilitate access to vacuum the chaff out. The cooling tray is fixed with only two screws on both sides which makes it easy to remove it entirely and clean the panels below. In this way cleaning is easy and quick to perform as part of the roasting process.
Colors and options
The Giesen W15A Coffee roaster is very appealing to look at because of its traditional appearance. It owes its artisanal image mainly to the design and use of high quality materials like cast iron. This is the perfect material to retain and distribute the heat evenly over the coffee beans. Like all Giesen Coffee Roasters, it can also be customized in a different color. The standard version of the roaster is black, but you can choose any other RAL colour of your desire. This enables you to personalize your coffee roaster in a unique way. To match the colours of your company logo for example or even the interior of your shop. For the roof you can choose between stainless steel or brass hammered.
